They are at it again . . .

See this LJWorld article on State Board of Education member, John Bacon's attendance at a religious conference and his submission for the State to pay for it.

As the Thoughts from Kansas blog points out, this amounts to Bacon asking to be paid for going to church.

  • Dear Steven,

I want to invite you, along with other Kansas Bloggers, to the "discussion table" on Monday morning at Bloggin' Outloud -
    http://blogginoutloud.blogspot.com

I'm hosting a debut "carnival" for bloggers who live in Kansas. The purpose is to meet new people online, share interesting news and ideas, and have some fun working our way up the blogging "ecosystem" together.

Your politics don't matter, your religion don't matter, your grammar don't neither. However, this loose association (I'm calling it The KGB - Kansas
Guild of Bloggers :-) is for relatively family-friendly types who enjoy the benefits and
    community of bloggin' outloud.

A weekly carnival (collection) of Kansas blogs will expose your writings to other readers. I'll mention your site and link to a post of your choice. If you
want to participate, please use the carnival submit form by 2 pm Sunday at
http://blogcarnival.com/bc/cprof_170.html (click on the orange submit field and follow the instructions).

If you have any questions, email me at lyngperry@yahoo.com
Thanks! I look forward to posting the entries by Monday morning.

    Sincerely, Lyn Perry

(PS I saw your smiley at the WE Blog comment about John Bacon - people get too ruffled! :-)
